By creating an account or using the PodPot application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PodPot is a multi-tenant property management platform for Paying Guest (PG) accommodations and hostels. The Service enables property owners, managers, and residents to manage bookings, payments, maintenance, meals, and communications.
3.1. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
3.2. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
3.3. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
3.4. One person may hold multiple roles (e.g., Admin of one property, Resident of another).
You agree NOT to:
4.1. Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
4.2. Attempt to access other users' or organizations' data.
4.3. Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
4.4. Use automated tools to scrape data or overload the Service.
4.5. Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code.
5.1. Rent payments are processed through PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment gateways (currently Razorpay; Cashfree may be enabled as an additional gateway). PodPot does not store card details.
5.2. Property Owners must complete gateway vendor onboarding before accepting online payments through the platform.
5.3. All payable amounts are computed server-side from booking and invoice records.
5.4. Platform subscription fees are billed monthly based on active resident count.
5.5. All payments are in Indian Rupees (INR).
5.6. Refund policies are determined by individual property owners.
5.7. Card-to-cash, money-laundering, and payments unrelated to an active booking are prohibited. See Section 11.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to data practices described therein.
7.1. The PodPot name, logo, and all related branding are our trademarks.
7.2. Content you upload (photos, documents) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it within the Service.
7.3. You may not copy or redistribute any part of the Service.
8.1. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
8.2. We are not liable for disputes between property owners and residents.
8.3. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
9.1. You may delete your account at any time from the app.
9.2. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9.3. Upon termination, your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
11.1. PodPot is a technology platform. For resident rent, the Property Owner is the merchant of record.
11.2. Vendor onboarding requires acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy, plus payment-gateway vendor onboarding before online collections. Kitchen operators must complete compliance uploads and payout onboarding.
11.3. Rent-agreement PDFs are generated from confirmed booking data; resident acceptance is logged. Payments require active bookings and payable invoices.
11.4. Card-to-cash and fraudulent use are prohibited. Controls include server-side amount validation, gateway signature verification, webhook deduplication, audit logging, rate limiting, and vendor/module gates.
